workshop for new mexico

I was asked to create and develop three workshops for students at New Mexico School for the Deaf in Santa Fe, New Mexico. They are learning to write poetry over a course of months. Since I am known to be an ASL poet and performance artist, the school asked me to be involved for the Final Day on March 25.

I created a few videos along with a detailed workshop curriculum for the students. My curriculum focused on the elements of performance and using those to analyze and perform poetry.

The workshops were a huge hit and the students greatly enjoyed them! Big thanks to Shira G. for inviting me to participate.
