I am doing a live Q&A and reading on Zoom tomorrow (February 17, 2021) with three other writers and two editors from the Brown Girl Magazine anthology "Untold."
We will discuss the theme of relationships and discuss our non-fiction pieces about love, family, and friendship. We Are Moving Stories, a fantastic website that focuses on women filmmakers, interviewed me and asked me a few questions about making Deaf Brown Gurl and why I wanted to make it.

Women Cinemakers, an online magazine based in Italy, has interviewed me about making Deaf Brown Gurl and asked many questions about the process of filmmaking and why/how I made the film. I believe the interview might be interesting for many of you who have followed my works for years.
You can read the article (my interview starts on page 164-165) Thanks to Deaf Women of Color (DWC), an organization in Washington D.C for picking me as one of DWC's Overlooked Gems for March 2018 (Women's History Month). They asked me to make a video with subtitles, which is now available on DWC's Facebook page.  DESIblitz, a South Asian British magazine based in Great Britain, interviewed me and we discussed my works as a filmmaker, performance artist, and poet.  I talked about various topics including New Mexico, the making of Deaf Brown Gurl, my visit to a deaf girls' school in Patna, and my next project for an UK poetry film collaborative group. Here is an incredible video created by Super Sisters UK, an organization based in Great Britain that advocates on behalf of British Minority Ethnic women and British Muslim women. I am so grateful and humbled for their support. I feel that the video did a great job introducing my works to a bigger audience.
Watch: Patna Beats, an Indian website devoted to the state of Bihar, has interviewed me. I discuss my Bihari roots, talk a bit about my projects, and I give some advice to Bihari youth. ALIVE Magazine has a great write-up and short interview with me for the forthcoming St. Louis Visionary Awards. I answer some questions about my works and my creative process as an artist.  I also discuss the need for better engagement within the arts scene in St. Louis. Check it out! The Aerogram asked me to do a Quick Picks list for this week. I talk about some interesting people and their works, including one of my favourite rappers from Mexico City, an Indian classical dancer, disability hip hop, and a desi electronica musician.  Axis Dance Company, a disability-dance theatre company based in San Francisco, asked me a bunch of questions regarding my disability and asked me to give advice to fellow artists and performers.
