Thank you to the St. Louis Visionary Awards for selecting me as “Emerging Artist of 2016” to recognize and honor my works as a filmmaker, performance artist, and playwright. Words cannot describe how happy and amazed I am to receive this honor. I had never won or received any awards in my lifetime so this is very new and shocking for me. I hope and pray that receiving this award will help open many more doors and bring me new opportunities to bring my works to a bigger audience. I will honor other previous honorees by speaking out against oppression, injustice and racism; I will continue to use my artistic works to help promote peace, love, respect, and understanding on Mother Earth.
The award ceremony will be held on April 25, 2016 at the Grandel (Sun) Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri. I will post more information later as the date approaches. Thank you so much again for this amazing honor. http://www.vizawards.org/ Comments are closed.
