Hope to see you at DEAF MUSLIM EXPO! I did research on authentic Sufi / Islamic poetry and read a lot of books, so I made sure not to use fake, Pinterest-style English translations created by non-Muslims which are widely (sadly) prevalent online. My poetry show will have American Sign Language, video and English subtitles.

I will perform on October 8 (Saturday evening). I will present a new show called جمال القمر Jamal Al-Qamar ("Beauty of the Moon") a sign-language poetry show with Islamic calligraphy.

I have already announced it a few weeks ago on my social media, but I'll say it again: I am very happy and pleased to inform everyone that my show Allah Earth: The Cycle of Life was selected by a juried panel to perform at New York International Fringe Festival 2018. I will be given 5 shows to perform in Manhattan, New York. 

I will post more information with show dates and venue. 

Any organizations, schools and colleges in New York City-- please be aware, if you are interested in having me give a talk or workshop, you can contact me through my website. I am happy to share my art and knowledge with as many people as possible.

My performance of Allah Earth: The Cycle of Life was a great success at the DEAFinitions Conference at Hampshire College. It was one of my biggest audiences to date and I received so much great feedback from audience members. So I am very happy and I feel accomplished. Here are some photos (credit: Junior Gardner).

On April 5 (Thursday), I will give a talk to college students about my works as a Deaf filmmaker (open to the public).

On April 6 (Friday), I will give a free workshop to deaf artists about brand awareness.
