Sabina England will perform one monologue and introduce two other monologues in Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues, all in American Sign Language. In fact, the entire show will be performed in American Sign Language. There will be voice actors as well. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to Deaf, Inc. to help Deaf victims of domestic violence and abuse.

To promote V-Day and raise awareness about violence against women and girls, misogyny, sexism, homophobia, racism, etc. and to raise money to help Deaf victims of domestic abuse and violence.

Sabina England will perform onstage, along with about 9 other deaf women and as well as a few hearing women (all certified ASL interpretors). The shows are sponsored by Deaf, Inc.

Sabina England will perform in San Francisco for Yoni Ki Baat 2012. Her performance piece is called Ugly Beautiful/Brown White/Sweet Submissive/Orientalized Objectified, which will be performed in American Sign Language. Micropixie will “voice” for Sabina, and a new video will also be screened.

Proceeds from the show will go to Narika, which helps South Asian victims of domestic abuse.

Proceeds will help South Asian victims of domestic violence.

Sabina England’s videos will be screened at Sulu DC’s 2nd Anniversary awards show and gala tonight at the Artisphere in Washington D.C! Other performers such as Chip Han, Keva I. Lee, J. Pharoah and the Manhattan Project, DJ Boo, and Regie Cabico, will also be present at the gala. Sulu DC will honor Asian-Pacific American artists and musicians for their achievements in the arts.
