Sabina’s film, Wedding Night, will screen with other Diaspora films on July 31st, the opening day of the International Documentary and Short Film Festival in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India.

Great news! Sabina has been asked to be part of the 4th International Documentary and Short Film Festival in Kerala, India. Her film Wedding Night will make its India premiere in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, India on July. The festival takes place from 31st July to 4th August. If you live in Kerala, you should come to the festival and check out the film (and other films as well!) and support independent filmmaking. Many thanks to Aseem Chhabra (fest organizer at NYIFF) for making this happen.

WOW!! My film Wedding Night was a major HIT at NYIFF (New York Indian Film Festival), that my film received TWO screenings! I got many great reviews and compliments from the festival organizers, other filmmakers, and from audience members. New York City was a blast, I feel truly inspired and motivated to work on my next film project, and I got a chance to meet Aparna Sen and Mira Nair, two of my favourite filmmakers! Such a great experience.

Sabina’s film, Wedding Night, will make its U.S premiere at Indian Film Festival in New York City! The film will open for the world premiere of a new film, A Decent Arrangement, starring legendary Indian film star Shabana Azmi. Sabina will be present for the screening and for the post-screening Q&A session.
